Big Rapids High School's Key Club is working to raise money for the Mecosta County Relay for Life Event!

What makes Key Club so successful is the fact that it is a student-led organization that teaches
leadership through serving others.   Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities.

At Big Rapids High School, Key Club has a long tradition of community service.  One of the most important and most enjoyable activities the club participates in is Relay for Life – a 24 hour fund raising event for the American Cancer Society.

Relay for Life is…

  • Organized, overnight community fundraising walk
  • Teams of people camp out around a track
  • Members of each team take turns walking around the track
  • Food, games and activities provide entertainment and build camaraderie
  • Family-friendly environment for the entire community. This year the Big Rapids High School Key Club hopes to raise $1000 to help fight cancer.  How can you help?  Make a donation through any Club member.  You can even do this on line.

You can also come out and enjoy the event.  Teams sponsor booths to raise money for the American Cancer Society and there are a number of fun events and entertainment scheduled throughout the day.  This year’s Relay will be held at the Big Rapids High School football field and track Saturday, September 20 to Sunday, September 21.  The Relay officially begins at 9 a.m.  Come out and join us for the fun and help us fight cancer together.
