BRHS Celebrating "Patriotic Week"

The Social Studies department is celebrating “Patriotic Week” September 11th through September 17th.                                      

Mr. Bonning will be reading statements during the daily announcements from the Daughters of the American Revolution concerning “First Principles.”

On the September 16th  during 5th  period all teachers will receive a word-search puzzle with the Preamble to the Constitution as its topic.  This will give the students an opportunity to remember and practice reciting the Preamble.

In social studies classes on the 17^th lessons will be taught that bear on the Constitution.  In all other classes, teachers will be encouraged to teach something related to the Constitution. 

Now, for the FUN AND GAMES.....

On the 17^th, before classes begin, the social studies teachers will provide a doughnut prize to students who can recite the Preamble from memory!  During the day on the 17^th at the end of each class period a Constitution Quiz item will be read and the first 5 students who make it to the office with the correct answer will be awarded a candy prize!
