BRHS Students Industrial Technology Class (Woods I) instructed by Jeff Hovey

Students in shop class learn safety, and work habits which include; wood working, planning, finishing and shop safety. The students are responsible to draw or find plans, and get the materials for their project by using the provided materials and/or order per project.

Students can advance to Woods II and III for a detailed study of furniture, construction and finishes.  All advanced students are required to make a major project.  Many of these students will enter their project in the Michigan Industrial Technology Educational Society Annual Convention (MITES) where they will compete against other schools across the state. For more information see the MITES page, at: https://www.mites.cc
