BRMS participates in the first Color Run!

On Thursday, October 1st, the Big Rapids Middle School participated in the very first Color Run! Approximately three hundred students ran around Hemlock Park and the Middle School getting sprayed with COLOR by fifty PTO, FSU, and teacher volunteers. This event was sponsored by Yoplait through a $7500 grant. Yogurt and cereal bars were available to the participants prior to the race.

The students started off with a warm-up dance to the "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) song and ended the race with a COLOR burst (every student was able to throw a color packet up in the air). It was a beautiful, awesome day, and everybody had a blast!

Thanks to all of the participants and volunteers for making this such a huge success. Special thanks goes out to Yoplait for even making this possible!! It is great to be from BR!
